History & Economic Development Role

Established in 2009, Ponca Smoke Signals was the Ponca Tribe's initial foray into retail business. Since that time, the store has established additional locations and has allowed its parent company, Osni Ponca LLC, to advance tribal economic development even further. To date, Smoke Signals has shared over $1 million in profit with the Ponca Tribe for support of the Tribe's programs and services. Since its inception, Smoke Signals has been crucial to the advancement of tribal development through the generation of significant revenues and employment opportunities.

High Quality & Low Cost

While maintaining high quality standards, the tobacco products produced and sold by Indian Country are far less expensive than their national brand counterparts. Furthermore, Native American brands are known for their all-natural tobacco and cotton filters – this sets our products apart from the typical national brands, which can contain dozens of chemical additives.

Service Model

Ponca Smoke Signals prides itself on providing customers with quick and pleasant retail experiences. Our convenient drive-thru stores are staffed with individuals dedicated to providing you with friendly and knowledgeable service. If you are new to Native tobacco, our trained staff can help you find a Native product which corresponds most to your taste in the national brands.

Our Products

Native American tobacco brands: Seneca (by Seneca Nation of New York) ; Skydancer (by Seneca Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma) ; Smokin’ Joes (Native American owned at Tuscarora Indian Nation) ; Renards (by Meskwaki Nation)
